With long standing ties to the Poconos, Sarah attended The George Washington University for her undergrad studies and law school at the University of Pittsburgh. Sarah returned home to work at the Pike County District Attorney’s Office for more than 14 years as a prosecutor.
After transitioning to a role as counsel for Pike County Children & Youth, she joined Doug Jacobs part time with the aim of becoming a partner. That partnership came to fruition in late 2023 with Jenn, her friend and colleague from both the DA and C&Y offices.
Sarah is married with two sons. Between juggling their crazy schedules, she dedicates a lot of time to improving the lives of children as a whole. She also sits on the Board of Directors of a local Montessori school.

Partner
Growing up the daughter of an Army CW4, she considers Syracuse her “hometown.” After attending La Salle University, she went to Pace Law School. Then joined Fitzpatrick (now a part of Venable) as an associate in the IP litigation department before relocating to Port Jervis, NY with her husband.
Working for the Orange County, NY, Sullivan County, NY District Attorneys, she eventually landed in Pike County as a prosecutor and connected with her friend Sarah. Seeking a little more balance, she worked part time at the Public Defender’s office and the rest at her husband’s firm in Port Jervis. Yet Jenn reconnected with Sarah at Children & Youth before partnering with her and Doug.
Jenn is married with three children. Dedicates a lot of her time to her family, yet fits in exercise, and routine running races of all sizes.
A Bit About Our Founder
Douglas J. Jacobs, Of Counsel
Doug spent most of his life in Western Pennsylvania before he and Sue Ann, his wife, decided to answer a call for attorneys in the small town that became his home - Milford. A home where he served the community as the District Attorney, raised a family of three children, and built a thriving law firm focused on real estate, zoning, planning, estate planning, needs-based planning, and estate administration.
Now focusing on an advisory role, and that of husband, father, and grandfather, Doug is spending more time on himself, his church and a lifelong beneficiary of his time, talent, and treasure, the Special Olympics.
